Satire             The Legend of Rob N. Hood is a work of satire.  This means that the chronicler has employed a standard of accuracy somewhat different from that demanded (or formerly demanded) in scholarship or journalism.  Some things are just plain made up.  The characters in this story are fictional.  Any resemblance between them and the actual leaders of the United States of America should be cause for the greatest concern.

The Greatest Country in the World        This story is set in the fictional Greatest Country in the World.  We at guardiansofprivilege.com fondly and firmly believe that the United States of America is the greatest country in the real world, but that we are entitled to boast about it only when we are doing everything in our power to live up to the highest ideals on which our country was founded.

Guardians Of Privilege      Privilege is precious to those who enjoy it.  It has its guardians in every society.  In the Greatest Country in the World they control one (some would say one and a half) of the two major political parties.  On this site, the term is used to refer to the political party in the Greatest Country in the World whose primary concern is the preservation of privilege.  Guardiansofprivilege.com is not their official website.

Holinshed                 Holinshed is a humble toiler in the vineyards of history, chronicling important events in the Greatest Country in the World in order to preserve them for the day when future generations ask how things got to be the way they are.
